Plant a Tree Day

Thanks to everyone who brought in a pound today to raise money to plant trees. We know that they make such a difference to the environment and our quality of life.

Trees turn carbon dioxide into oxygen.

Trees absorb noise in the environment.

Trees help to make the ground fertile as their leaves decompose.

Trees help bind the soil together and help with the water cycle.

Trees provide employment to over 1.6 billion people world wide.

Trees provide habitats for a wide range of animals and support biodiversity.

Trees are great for our wellbeing!

You may be thinking of putting up your Christmas tree soon. Can you spend some time finding a tree that comes from a sustainable source?
